Tysons Galleria will soon give fashionistas even more reasons to spend on the latest styles—for a good cause. “All Access: Fashion” takes place Sept. 22−24 at Tysons Galleria in McLean, Va. Visitors may shop the latest trends like a fashion insider while supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.
On Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons at 7 p.m., the events kick off with “Refashioning Luxury,” a roundtable discussion about contemporary luxury retail business and the impact technology has on the industry.
On the VIP list? Saks Fifth Avenue hosts a red carpet runway presentation of the Fall 2011 Designer Eveningwear Collections at Center Court on Friday, followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic; standing room available (seats by invitation only).
As for the main attraction, head to the shops of Tysons Galleria from for a day packed with insider style experiences (hours: 9 a.m.−8 p.m.) Neiman Marcus also hosts a children’s collection show at 9 a.m. starring Make-A-Wish Foundation children alongside kids of notable Washingtonians.
Runway shows and presentations roll throughout the day, including Nicole Miller at 1 p.m., Elie Tahari at 3 p.m., Karen Millen at 5 p.m. and Betsey Johnson at 8 p.m.
Look for live music by DJ Seyhan Duru in center court. Naturally, there will be tons of in-store events by the likes of Tory Burch, Stuart Weitzman, Nicole Miller and Ralph Lauren, among others. You can also find trend presentations and branded lounge experiences throughout Tysons Galleria at Saks Fifth Avenue, Ritz Carlton and Michel Richard.
Finally, don’t feel guilty about those shopping bags: Participating retailers will donate a minimum of 10 percent of the day’s proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.
